Apart from launching the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express, PM Modi has also laid the foundation stone of several sewer infrastructure projects worth over Rs 2550 crore. Kolkata Metro’s Joka-Taratla Purple Line and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee National Institute of Water and Sanitation have been inaugurated.

Recently Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI) at Devanahalli, Karnataka. Presently there are 5 Central Detective Training Institutes of Bureau of Police Research and Development in the country under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, which are located at Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Ghaziabad. Now the sixth CDTI center is constructing at Devanahalli. The first CDTI established in 1958 at Calcutta. CDTI aims to provide training to police personnel up to the rank of Deputy SSP.
